About Us

Our clinic provides services for infants and children to help them reach their full potential

A child’s early development is a dynamic process where they acquire and refine skills that aid their independence. However, they may encounter obstacles that hinder their progress. Early identification of such difficulties increases the chances of successful treatment. At Joanna’s Physiotherapy Clinic, we enable children to reach their full potential and surmount any obstacles.

We enable children to reach their full potential and surmount any obstacles.

My passion for physiotherapy:

The longer I worked with children the more I was convinced that I wanted to become a paediatric physiotherapist. I love my job and I love to work with children and their families.

If it’s beneficial to the therapy, I also love to work with different specialists like psychologists, speech and language therapists and doctors. Together we can make a positive difference in a child’s life.

With physiotherapy, you always get to learn new things and expand your knowledge. Medicine is a constantly changing field where there are always new, evolving methods of treating others. There are multiple therapies for children which can help them achieve their goals, making it interesting and beneficial for them.

My dream is to form a community of parents with disabled children, so that we can all help, support and inspire each other. I made a WhatsApp group where all my patients’ parents and guardians can ask for any advice, help or support. We are here to help each other.

I am a mother of two fantastic teenagers, I love being active, I love nature and I love walking and traveling.

Joanna’s Background

I have always wanted to help others. Which is why, after I finished my A-levels, I decided to become a physiotherapist.

I attended a 2-year physiotherapy course and after finishing I managed to get a job at an early intervention centre where I became a paediatric physiotherapist. Ever since then I’ve had a passion for my job and working with children.

At the beginning of my career, I worked and studied. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Physiotherapy, and later a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy.

I have completed multiple professional courses including:

  • Sensory integration: level 1, neurological basis and level 2, diagnosis and therapy
  • Hand therapy: level 1 (basic) and 2 (advanced)
  • Deep tissue massage
  • Introductory course of soft tissue therapy in paediatrics
  • Kinesiology taping, basic and advanced
  • NDT BOBATH basic, extended, baby and refresher
  • Ortho-podology
